Join us this Thursday, 27 June 2024, at 7:00 p.m. for the inauguration of the work ‘Fais ton poème’ (Write Your Poem) by artist Sylvie Blocher at the Centre Cardiologique du Nord.

‘Fais ton poème’ is a collaborative and dreamlike work commissioned by a group of CCN caregivers, accompanied by people working in the audiovisual field.

The goal was to create a work of art that would contribute to a sensitive dialogue between staff, patients, and visitors in a healthcare setting, a hospital. Installing this work in a place where so many languages, cultures, and social categories come together affirms that the CCN is a public space where people care for others and where the poetic vitality of words can unfold.

A digital installation conceived as a ‘public artistic space,’ the work immediately places people at the centre of a device that questions the freedom of words, but also the responsibility they imply in their passage from the intimate to the collective. By posting words and phrases and testing their narrative powers in large format on a luminous screen, everyone will be able to share in an awareness of themselves and others.

For five years, this screen will be attached to the building’s architecture itself, in a crossroads location. Activated via a keyboard or mobile phone, the phrases offered will be projected in a crossroads location before disappearing, then stored in a digital archive that will remain the sensitive material of this experience.
