In villages in the Haut-Jura region, residents living and working in the lynx’s habitat are undertaking a participatory science research commission.
Conducted in Bellecombe, Les Moussières, Les Bouchoux, and Les Molunes, the commission is taking place in a rural, mid-mountain area where the presence of the lynx, often invisible, raises questions about the relationship between humans and non-humans, as well as ways of inhabiting a living environment.
United by this shared situation, the group of New patrons hope to open up a space for collective reflection based on their experiences and practices. The specifications are currently being finalized and the research topic will be developed through discussions and observations.
This commission is part of the Lynx project, led by the New Patrons Society with the support of France Nation Verte, as part of the National Action Plan for the Eurasian Lynx (2022–2026).
