In 2010, Wim Delvoye’s emblematic artwork Discobolos was installed in the Square des Tisserands, following a commission initiated by local residents as part of the New Patrons programme, supported by artconnexion. The sculpture quickly became a symbolic landmark for the neighbourhood. Fifteen years after its installation, this anniversary offers a unique opportunity to celebrate this bold citizen-led initiative and to strengthen social ties around this artistic heritage.

4:30–6:00 pm: Creative workshop for children and adults inspired by Discobolos, led by the Hommelet Neighbourhood Committee

5:00 pm: Speeches and a look back at the origins of the commission with the artconnexion team and the commissioners from the Hommelet Neighbourhood Committee

6:00 pm: Festive and convivial gathering

A drinks stand will be provided by the committee’s volunteers.
