Bereaved families, united within the CœurVide19 association, wish to initiate a work of art in tribute to the victims of Covid-19 and open a space for collective memory.

Founded in 2020, the association supports relatives in their legal and psychological bereavement processes. Faced with a lack of symbolic recognition, it is campaigning for a national tribute. The shared experience of prevented mourning—without farewells or rituals—has left lasting scars: loneliness, guilt, and forgetfulness.

The groupe of commissioners want this work to give voice to citizens. Their desire is to create a work that builds community, expresses a sense of loss, and makes a strong public statement about memory and care. They affirm that respect for the dead is inseparable from respect for the living.
