In 2024, members of the Association Marilou : pour les routes de la vie, wanted to initiate a commission to continue their commitment against dangerous behavior on the road.

The association was created by Nadine and Philippe Poinsot following the tragic death of their daughter Marilou, who was killed at the age of 9½ in a road accident in 2001. Their fight raised national awareness of drug-impaired driving, leading to the adoption of the “Marilou Law” in 2003. Since 2002, the association’s members have been pursuing two main missions: to inform and raise awareness about the dangers of the road.

As preventable tragedies continue to occur, the association wishes to create a work that can convey Marilou’s memory, touch people’s consciences, and remind them of the fragility of life. The New patrons wish to amplify this action through a work capable of transcending Marilou’s personal story to achieve universal significance. The commission must sensitively convey the urgency of prevention while offering an opportunity for reflection.
