The exhibition Faire Connaissances presents Les langues comme objets migrateurs, a work by Marianne Mispelaëre. It stems from a Nouveaux commanditaires commission initiated by a teacher of literature and languages, a language education specialist, and fourteen pupils from Vieux Port secondary school, René Caillié sixth form college, and Victor Hugo sixth form college. The work explores ideas of multilingualism and plurilingualism, exile and transmission, history, creolisation, interpretation, and the concept of identity, viewed through the prism of children’s language practices.
