La Société des Nouveaux commanditaires is a non-profit organisation (under the French law of 1901) that has been coordinating the network of New Patrons mediators since 2020. It is supported by the Ministry of Culture, the Fondation de France, the Fondation Daniel et Nina Carasso and the Fondation BeLonging to develop the New Patrons protocol, proposed by François Hers and promoted by the Fondation de France for 30 years.
Mediators present in various regions are closely attuned to the concerns and priorities of citizens. They connect patrons with artists and scientists and accompany them through the creation of an artwork and its promotion.
The association is composed of individuals, directly or indirectly involved in the implementation of the New Patrons protocol: mediators, artists, patrons and stakeholders who all support this original creative initiative.

The association’s governance is structured around three bodies: the Board of Trustees, the Council of Mediators, and the Monitoring Committee.
The association has two categories of members: mediators and supporting members.
